WSIL was incorporated in 2006 as a 501(c)3, not for profit organization. This means that while we work closely with local, national and international institutions, we remain an independant organization.
How can I donate funding to the Institute?
As a relatively new not for profit institution, donations are essential to ensure the daily operations of the institute. If you wish to make a donation, please contact personnel at the Institute.
How can I volunteer for the Institute?
WSIL invites dedicated and driven community members and organizations to become volunteers on our committees.
Advantages to becoming a member include:
  • Play an active role in the implementation of the goals and objectives of WSIL in communities across the world.
  • Diversify the leadershop, membership, ideas and projects of the Institute.
  • Increase public awareness of the Institute and its programs.
  • Attend board meetings and actively engage in the projects of the Institute.

When are the Institute's board meetings?
WSIL's Board of Directors meet each third Monday, monthly, at 5:30pm.

Where is the institute located?
The executive office of WSIL is located at the Maison DuChamp in historic St. Martinville, LA at the corner of Port and Main Streets.
