Participation per school (class) in Liaison during the Pilot Phases is limited to a handfull of schools.

As each Pilot is completed, we learn new challenges and search for new solutions.

Participating schools must meet the following requirements:

• Dynamic, motivated instructor, embodying superior interpersonal skills with a progressive and fun personality
• Ability for students to create new (filtered and secured) e-mail accounts on our website; or, create or utilize an existing school e-mail account
• Ability for classes to connect to the internet in class, or in a laboratory
• Audio and video apparatuses for class-to-class meetings during the school year
• Ability to utilize programs and web portals such as Skype, Google chat, Google applications Education Edition

• Participating teachers must attend an obligatory Teacher Workshop and Training in Lafayette, Louisiana*
• Participating teachers must pay for travel expenses to and from Lafayette, Louisiana for the training - accommodations will be covered by WSIL. 
• Roundtrip airfare and equipment are the only expenses for schools, classes and students.

The mandatory teacher training session and workshop will cover educational tools provided by WSIL to participating teachers, such as Naviwiki, LafayetteCommons and Google applications Education Edition.

Liaison teacher training session for 2010-2011 will take place Friday, 10 September 2010 through Sunday, 12 September 2010, in Lafayette, Louisiana.

For air travel, the airport code for Lafayette is LFT where Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Eagle has flights from Houston (IAH), Dallas (DFW), Atlanta (ATL) and Memphis. 

A reception for participating teachers will take place early Friday evening around 18:00 (6:00pm).
